July Issue 2005
Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC Features Works by Bill Weldner
For the month of July 2005, Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, will offer the exhibit, From the Carolina Coast to the Carolina Mountains, featuring works by Hot Springs, NC, artist Bill Weldner.
Weldner comes from a
background of having taught art in high school and as a college
Professor. His paintings involve the play between polarities.
Black and white and color abstract spirituality are combined on
one surface.
The core philosophy of Weldner's work is that "nothing is
as important as something and what we can not see is as important
as what we can see. Illusion and reality are the same and all
things are connected."
Included in the display are assemblages; an extension of his paintings using computer images of his drawings, multiple acrylic windows, clay pieces and other assorted materials.
