Art League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Features Works by Ann DerGara
The Art League of Henderson County will present
an exhibition of works by Ann DerGara, from July 10 through Aug.
4, 2005, at the League's Opportunity House gallery in Hendersonville,
NC.
DerGara of Brevard, NC, is one of the mountains' most unique artists
and co-owner of the Red Wolf Gallery there. Her work in oil and
acrylics, ranges widely from abstracts to riveting animal and
landscape paintings that reflect her passionate response to the
beauty and colors of nature.
DerGara is also a gifted printmaker. After majoring in art at
Georgia State University and the Atlanta College of Art, she learned
printmaking at the famed Odyssey Studio in Atlanta. Her prints,
described as "remarkable," hang in corporate and private
collections in Europe, Africa, and across the USA. Some of them
will appear in this show.
DerGara is represented locally by her own Red Wolf Gallery and
by the Silver Fox Gallery in Hendersonville.
