Gallery at Gettys in Rock Hill, SC, Features Works by Stephanie Jordan and Alfred McCloud
Encouraged by an overflow of support from the community, Gallery at Gettys owners Tamara LaValla and Zan Maddox are eager to get back to doing what they love most - supporting a growing local arts scene in downtown Rock Hill, SC. As part of this effort, Gallery at Gettys will open its doors for the exhibit, Structures, a collaboration of inspired new work from local artists Stephanie Jordan and Alfred McCloud.
Structures features Jordan's layered drawings and paintings - abstract "landscapes" that create an ambiguous visual space and explore the interconnection of everything in life and nature. McCloud will be exhibiting his latest "constructions," created from materials like paper, cotton and wood that are dipped in clay slip and stacked. The material burns away in the kiln, leaving behind a unique, skeletal structure.
Gallery at Gettys was
created by LaValla Maddox Art + Design as an effort to promote
local visual and performing artists and provide a space for them
to share their energy and vision with the community.
