Charleston Fine Art Dealers' Association Offers 3rd Palette and Palate Stroll on July 11, 2008, in Charleston, SC

On July 11, 2008, take pleasure in historic Charleston, SC's finest indulgences on the Charleston Fine Art Dealers' Association's Third Annual Palette and Palate Stroll, an exclusive evening dedicated to fine art, cuisine and wine.

Connoisseurs will stroll through the historic streets of downtown Charleston, delighting their senses in Charleston's charms for a memorable evening. They will enjoy an array of breathtaking art, created by nationally and internationally renowned artists at the city's most prominent galleries, and indulge in fine cuisine prepared by a circle of prestigious local chefs, including those from Blossom, Boathouse, Carolina's, Charleston Grill, Circa 1886, Cru Café, Cypress, Fat Hen, FIG, McCrady's, High Cotton, Muse, Social, Tristan and Virginia's on King.

In 2006 and 2007, the exclusive event exceeded everyone's high expectations, attracting more than 1500 people from across the nation and raising more than $22,000 for the associations' scholarship fund.

Founded in 1999, the Charleston Fine Art Dealers' Association consists of the city's most prominent galleries. The association promotes Charleston as a fine art destination for talented artists, passionate art enthusiasts and avid collectors.

The CFADA member galleries include: The Audubon Gallery, Ann Long Fine Art, Carolina Galleries, Charleston Renaissance Gallery, Coleman Fine Art, Corrigan Gallery, John Carroll Doyle Art Gallery, Ella Walton Richardson Fine Art Gallery, Helena Fox Fine Art, Horton Hayes Fine Art, Martin Gallery, Robert Lange Studios, Smith-Killian Fine Art, The Sylvan Gallery, and Wells Gallery.

In celebration of the event and in conjunction with its Art Lovers Package, Francis Marion Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Charleston, will include two tickets to the event in addition to its other amenities, which include wine & cheese, as well as two tickets to the Gibbes Museum of Art. The event begins at 5:30pm, and is presented as part of the Charleston Fine Art Dealers' Association's Studio Series, benefiting its visual arts scholarship fund.
