Moring Arts Center in Asheboro, NC, Features Works by Elliott Paul Orr
The varied-media works of Elliott
Paul Orr will be on display in the Main Gallery of the Moring
Arts Center in Asheboro, NC, in the exhibition, Works In Progress,
on view from Aug. 3 - 29, 2003.
Elliott Paul Orr was the son of Kenneth and Linda Orr of Archdale, NC. Art was a main interest of his from early childhood. By the time he graduated from Trinity High School in 1988 he was receiving awards and honors for his work. Orr graduated from East Carolina University in 1994. There he developed his skills in sculpture and painting. He then went to graduate school at the University of Southern Illinois. His goal through his work was to "Take art to the people."
Works In Progress shows Orr's work from the earliest to the latest. It includes pen and ink, watercolor, paper sculpture, formed plastic and other media. The exhibition was created by his family and friends to showcase his talent, his humor, and his spirit to the Randolph County community. Sponsors are David and Janet Jones.
