Tiemaker's Gallery in Charleston, SC, Presents Paintings

Tiemaker's Gallery in Charleston, SC, features
new works by Matt Overend, entitled Ode to Atticism, through
Sept. 19, 2003. Overend is an acclaimed SC artist whose paintings
employ a concise and simple elegance.
Overend will exhibit landscapes, still lifes, and non-objective
paintings with his natural pallet and unique compositions. Best
known for his simplified landscapes and still lifes, all of his
work gives an abstracted interpretation of life. Overend's paintings
have been collected for over 25 years. He speaks of his paintings
as "poems, simple and direct."
