TwoArtChicks in Greensboro, NC, Features Works by Emmett Ardie

TwoArtChicks in Greensboro, NC, invites you to experience the downtown urban culture of cars, hot ladies, neon and colorful nightlife in the acrylic works of Greensboro artist Emmett Ardie in this exceptional solo exhibition, showing through Aug. 23, 2003.

Born in 1963 in Washington, DC, Emmett Ardie Williams discovered his natural talent for art when he was only five. While still a child he studied at the Columbus School of Art and Design, and from 1982-1984 he attended the Corcoran School of Art. As a freshman, Ardie was awarded the Fredenburg-Torsani Memorial for his studio works.

Throughout his life Ardie has been influenced by many artists, from Cezanne to Dali, and these various influences are reflected in his work, a mingling of impressionist, cubist and surrealist styles. To learn more about the world Ardie has created you can visit his website: (www.EMMET.EMMETT.com).
