Mint Museum of Craft + Design in Charlotte, NC, Offers 2nd First in Families Exhibition
First in Families (FIF) is hosting the second annual Boundless Art Exhibit at the Mint Museum of Craft + Design in Charlotte, NC, on Aug. 21, 2004. This inspirational exhibit showcases the work of artists with developmental disabilities and their friends - recognizing the unique gifts and talents of all people.
The Boundless Art Enchanted Evening Reception will be held on Aug. 21, 6-9pm at the Museum. A donation of $20 per individual and $35 per couple is requested, and may be paid at the door.
The reception will include entertainment, hors d' oeuvres and raffle for Carolina Panthers club tickets, a $20" television, original artwork donated by local artists, a Studio Moda Salon gift package and other prizes. Raffle tickets are $3 each or five for $12 and may be purchased in advance at the RSS office or at the reception.
Proceeds from the reception and raffle will support inclusive arts programming and activities for individuals with developmental disabilities in our community.
First in Families is a project of Residential Support Services, an agency that provides residential services and self-determined community supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.
The event is sponsored by the Eastside Cultural Garden, an arts based community project, "providing the tools to grow a community."
