Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Cathy Searle
The Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, is presenting the exhibit, In Search of the Abstract, featuring works by Cathy Searle, on view through Aug. 31, 2005.
Searle's exhibit is distinguished by its unique interpretation of shape, line and color - at once both dramatic, intriguing and playful. Her latest works, on canvas, are inspired by an extensive beach landscaping project where the introduction of cropped palms and plant materials suggested other worlds full of wonderful shaped to abstract.
Searle has participated in, and taken awards in juried exhibitions at the local, regional and national level. Her work is in many private collections throughout the country, and is included in corporate collections.
