Art League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Features Exhibition by Betty Henshaw
The Art League of Henderson County will present
an exhibition of watermedia works by Western Carolina native Betty
Henshaw. The exhibit will be on view in the Grace Etheredge Room
at Opportunity House in Hendersonville, NC, from Aug. 7 through
Sept. 1, 2005.
Henshaw began painting twenty five years ago in Alabama, where
she exhibited watercolors with the Huntsville and Madison art
leagues. She has participated in workshops with such well-known
artists as Mary Todd Beam, Pat Dews, Pat San Soucie, and Gerald
Brommer. Her interest has evolved from
realism to experimentation with watercolor, acrylic, and collage,
in order to draw viewers into their own interpretation of her
shapes, colors, and textures. Currently she is manager for the
Art League of Henderson County's web site (www.artleague.net)
from her home in Leicester, NC.
