City of North Charleston Features Exhibit of Works by Perry Miller and Linda Medders-Jackson
The City of North Charleston
in North Charleston, SC, will be exhibiting original paintings
and drawings by Perry Miller and Linda Medders-Jackson, at the
North Charleston City Gallery from Aug. 1-31, 2006.
Perry Miller's exhibition, titled Sea Island Impressions,
was inspired by experiences from growing up on Edisto Island,
SC. Graphite and pen on canvas and acrylic paintings of marshland
landscapes and seascapes of the Sea Islands comprise his exhibition.
Sailing the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea has greatly influenced
Miller's work.
"I have sailed through instant storms that showed me a complete
spectrum of color in seconds and then disappeared like a ghost,"
says Miller. Experiences, such as the storms, Miller shares through
his work.
Linda Medders-Jackson will be exhibiting wildlife and western
paintings and drawings. She is a member of numerous local art
guilds and exhibits her work regularly around the state.
