2nd Annual Woman Speaks: Literary and Arts Festival and Contest Takes Place in Charlotte, NC, on Sept. 18 - 23, 2006
Sibella's Circle International once again hosts its' 2nd Annual Woman Speaks: Literary and Arts Festival and Contest, showcasing a wealth of local and surrounding area female talent, from Sept. 18 - 23, 2006, in Charlotte, NC. Poets, songwriters, artists, speakers, photographers and a host of light, love and spirit-soul connoisseurs will gather to celebrate Womanhood: Spirit, Soul, Mind & Body. Last year over 500 women came out in attendance and celebration of this fabulous event!
Boarding ship for a second year as the festival's title sponsor, Barnes and Noble Bookstores is opening the doors of two area retail locations. Both the Arboretum in Charlotte and Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC, will serve as this year's operating venues for this week-long festival extravaganza. Starting on Monday night from 6-10pm each store will feature women speakers sharing on topics exploring the spirit, soul, mind and body. Ending on Saturday, from 10am-4pm with a day-long rotating feature artist presentation, showcasing the written and visual works of all this year's contestants. The finale trophy and prize ceremony announcing this year's Woman Speaks festival winners will commence at 6pm, Barnes & Noble Bookstores, Arboretum in Charlotte location (Hwy. 51 - Pineville/Matthews Rd).
A selection of books on related event topics will be made available for purchase after each speaker presentation. Seating is limited, with standing room for all. Sibella's Circle International, formally Sibella Community Arts for Women Association, is a personal growth and spiritual development support and synergy organization for women 30+.
