Asheville Area Arts Council in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Sean Pace and Brian Mashburn
Asheville Area Arts Council in Asheville, NC, will present the exhibit, eight0seven, featuring works by sculptors Sean "Jinx" Pace and Brian Mashburn in the Council's Front Gallery from Aug. 3 - 30, 2007.
Sean "Jinx" Pace has had a prolific local career since graduating with distinction from the University of North Carolina in Asheville. His work blurs the lines between art and life as he engages the imagination of his audience. With every piece he writes a specific artist statement that explains that piece alone. Pace covers political, spiritual, social and personal content with his work.
This will be the first exhibit in Asheville for Brian Mashburn. A graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BFA in 2D design, he maintained a booth space at Kress Emporium for 2005. Mashburn embraces many ideas and motivations into an ambiguous aesthetic.
