Charleston Artist Guild Gallery in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Vincent Bobo
The Charleston Artist Guild in Charleston, SC, will be presenting the exhibit, Lowcountry Charm, featuring works by Vincent Bobo, on view in the Guild Gallery from Aug. 1 - 31, 2007.
This exhibit is based on Bobo's impressions of everyday life around Charleston and the lowcountry. His dazzling use of color and light has successfully captured all the charm and mystique of this wonderful area. From the brilliant sunlight colors of 50 Broad to the subdued palette of Quiet Time, shapes, value, and color play an important role in this artist's method of interpreting scenes.
Bobo's talent as an artist was first recognized with a school award at the age of nine. Born in Charleston in 1956, his passion and love of the lowcountry come naturally; he feels blessed to have been surrounded by its charm and beauty.
Following Bobo's retirement from the United States Air Force, he became a trained draftsman and received a degree in Automated Manufacturing Technology, which led him ultimately into the world of art.
