August Issue 2007
Morning Times Gallery in Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Emily Huffman
Morning Times Gallery in Raleigh, NC, will present the exhibit, Practice, featuring new work by Emily Huffman, on view from Aug. 3 through Sept. 3, 2007.
This exhibit will be Huffman's first solo show in Raleigh. These new works are primarily drawings and oil paintings on canvas and paper. Fluid, dynamic fields and layers give context to personal and tender symbols and stories. The works are Huffman's own practice of reflecting upon moments of both navigating and being guided within her life experience.
Huffman's paintings seek to engage one's individual senses, embodied responses, and human heart. A native of north Florida, Huffman has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tulane University in sculpture and painting. She is currently a member of Bonded Llama Artist Studios in Raleigh.
