Red Clover Gallery in Landrum, SC, Offers Works by Linda Cheek
The Red Clover Gallery in Landrum, SC, will present the exhibit, INSIDE / OUT, featuring works by plein air painter, Linda Cheek, on view from Aug. 10 through Sept. 12, 2007.
Cheek's landscapes, street scapes and restaurant interiors show her broad range as an artist. "Everything under the sun is beautiful" she states. She captures the spirit and mood of the place she paints, along with the dance of light, demonstrating her life long dedication to recording moments in time.
Cheek received her formal education from the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL. She makes her home in Western North Carolina where she finds unlimited subject matter for her expressive, impressionistic pastels and oil paintings. Cheek's work has twice won the annual George Grey Award in a national competition at the Salmagundi Club in New York City, and her work is now in their permanent collection. Cheek is listed in Who's Who in American Art and is collected by a national audience.
