Sylvan Gallery in Charleston, SC, Offers Group Show Featuring Guido Petruzzi
The Sylvan Gallery in Charleston, SC, is presenting the exhibit, Summer Works by Gallery Artists Featuring Guido Petruzzi, on view through Aug. 30, 2007.
Italian Guido Petruzzi retired from the executive life in the New York fashion industry. As a hobby he built furniture based on 17th and 18th century English design before moving to South Carolina, where he began painting daily on Hilton Head Island. His oils of the Lowcountry landscape and still life paintings are approachable collectibles sure to please any collector's eye. He continues to study privately and hone his skills in workshops with plein air painters. Petruzzi is a member of the Oil Painters of America, the Hilton Head Art League and the Society of Bluffton Artists. His paintings are part of private collections in Italy, Germany, Brazil and in many US cities.
The Sylvan Gallery specializes in 20th and
21st century representational art and carries a large selection
of sculpture. They are pleased to represent the work of Glenna
Goodacre as well as that of thirty or so artists of world renown.
One of the most talked about galleries in Charleston, the Sylvan
Gallery is now five years of age with 25 plus years of experience
behind the gallery. Bringing the named western artists to the
east coast, representing South Carolina's own Rhett Thurman and
finding new artists such as Guido Petruzzi, the gallery has set
an example and standards in the industry. As partners in the new
Charleston Art Auction, they are continuing the development of
Charleston as a fine arts' destination, in keeping with the long
tradition of this being the home to many artists and the cultural
destination of knowledgeable collectors.
