AAAC in Asheville, NC, Presents Works by Cori Saraceni

The Asheville Area Arts Council's Front Gallery in Asheville, NC, will present New Works by Cori Saraceni during the month of September, 2001.

Cori Saraceni is a weaver. Her fibers are a collage of metal, cotton, micro chips and even bicycle wheels. The work is all wall mounted sculpture. Maybe you have not had a chance to try out the bike wheel in one of her pieces. It might carry you into a sea of wires and kinetic potential.

Saraceni says, "My background is theatre - a highly expressive form of art composed mood, movement, rhythm and nuance... it captivates me - allowing me to lose myself in another reality. In my artwork I hope to bring to the viewer that same sense of total immersion through color, texture, movement and contrasting use of materials."

For further information check our NC Institutional Gallery listings or call the gallery at 828/258-0710 or on the web at (http://www.ashevillearts.com).
