Iredell Museum in Statesville, NC, Features Sculptures by Grace Parker-Napper
Through Sept. 23, Grace Parker-Napper will display her original sculptures alongside works from the Iredell Museum's own collection in Statesville, NC, in an exhibit entitled Captured in Bronze.
Parker-Napper won the Museum's attention at last year's Art on the Green with her stunning bronze pieces. "I asked her right on the spot if she would do a show for us," said Museum director, Mary Bradford.
Grace Parker-Napper is a sculptor who resides in Winston-Salem, NC, and is a charter member of Sculptor's Studio VI in Reynolda Village. She has studied with Earline Heath King of Winston-Salem and at Scottsdale Artist School with nationally known sculptors Jerry Cox and Lincoln Fox. She has also worked and studied with Michiel van der Sommen and Richard Behrends.
In 1997 and 1998, Parker-Napper received the NC Association of Educators Award for her work. We hope you will be as delighted with her work as we are.
