Scott Eagle
Scott Eagle is an Assistant Professor of Art at East Carolina University where he received a BFA in 1988 and an MFA in 1992. The imagery and style of Eagle's paintings and drawings are inspired by dreams, children's art, mythology, and art history. Yet, he infuses these works with contemporary complications. His complex symbolism is mysterious, and his exquisitely elaborate technique is enchanting. He recently had a solo exhibition at the Spartanburg County Museum of Art and the Kinston Arts Center. He has also shown at Green Hill Center, Fayetteville Museum of Art, North Carolina Museum of Art and galleries in Utah, Arizona and Germany. His work is in the collections of Davidson College, GlaxoWelcome, Hickory Museum of Art, the Embassy of Qatar, McDonalds Corp. and Spartanburg Co. Museum of Art.
Christopher Stephens
Christopher Stephens from Front Royal, VA, is a painter who depicts the light and seasons of the Shenandoah Valley where he lives and teaches. His landscapes glow with intense color and rhythmic composition. Often he constructs and paints the frames to enhance his paintings. Stephens earned his BFA from UNC-G and his MFA from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA. He has shown in Philadelphia, Washington DC, the Green Hill Center, and throughout VA. His work is in the collections of University of VA, Bell Atlantic, American Express, Duke University Medical Center, Dillard Paper, Wachovia, and The Weatherspoon Art Gallery in Greensboro, NC.
Beth Golston
Beth Goldston from Pittsboro, NC, paints in watercolor and pastels to portray the rich rural nature of NC. From rolling fields to grazing cattle to classic farmhouses, Goldston expresses a reverence about her surroundings. Her impressionistic understanding of light and color also strongly impact her work. Often, she is intent on capturing a certain time of day or season. Goldston received her BA in Art from Meredith College and has studied at UNC-G and UNC-A. She has exhibited at the Wilkes Art Gallery, The ArtsCenter in Carrboro, The Art Connection in Chapel Hill, and Chatham Hospital in Siler City. Her work is in the collections of Central Carolina Bank, King Pharmaceuticals, Elite Personal Service, and Fitch Creations.
