Upstate Visual Arts Presents 11th Annual Art In The Park in Greenville, SC
Upstate Visual Arts' Art In The Park returns to Greenville, SC, on Sept. 14 & 15, 2002. It will be the eleventh year for one of the finest outdoor exhibitions and sales of visual art in the region. Held on the campus of the SC Governors School for the Arts and Humanities in downtown Greenville, the event is free to the public, and approximately 10,000 visitors are expected.
Approximately 72 individual artists and art organizations from all over the Southeast will exhibit and sell work in their own booths. In addition. the UVA Member Exhibition and Juried Show will display around 350 original works with $6000 in prizes to be awarded.
All mediums from painting to ceramics to photography to fiber art will be represented and offered for sale at Art In the Park. There will also be children's art activities, and artists will be demonstrating techinques and skills throughout the weekend.
Art in the Park is produced by Upstate Visual Arts in cooperation with the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department, and is hosted by the SC Governors School for the Arts and Humanities.
