Foust Studio in Charlotte, NC, Offers Works by 3 Contemporary Artists

Foust Studio in Charlotte, NC, will present, 3 Contemporary Artists, featuring the artwork of Charlotte Foust, Linda LaCroix, and Dina Lowery, from Sept. 25 through Oct. 24, 2003. The exhibit featuring landscapes, figurative and abstract paintings, reflects the lives of women and the world that surrounds them.

Charlotte Foust received a BA from UNC-Charlotte and has exhibited her work for over ten years. After just completing a residency at the McColl Center for Visual Arts in Charlotte, Foust will exhibit some of the work completed during her summer affiliation, figure drawings and abstract paintings. Foust exhibited work at Art Expo in New York this year.

Linda LaCroix, received a BA at Illinois State University and works in the Graphic Design industry. Pursuing her passion for fine arts, LaCroix works primarily as a printmaker. On exhibit will be a series of monotypes that explore and celebrate the female figure. Of the work, LaCroix says, "each pose is meant to evoke a unique point of view and emotion regarding the female form."

Dina Lowery received her BA from Marshall University and works as a professional artist and designer. Lowery's paintings explore mixed media combing lush textured surfaces, encaustic and acrylic on canvas. On exhibit will be a series of landscapes and abstracts. Lowery also exhibited at Art Expo this year.
