Rock Hill, SC, Presents Jubilee: Harvest of the Arts on Oct. 1-2, 2004
Rock Hill, SC's fall arts festival, Jubilee:
Harvest of the Arts, will brighten downtown Rock Hill on Oct.
1 and 2, 2004.
The 15th annual Jubilee will kick off on Fri., Oct. 1, with a
downtown street party, Jubilee Jazz, featuring New Orleans-type
food and a swing band. The festival will offer children's activities
and a fine arts and crafts sale on Main Street on Oct. 2 during
the Main Street Scene an annual sidewalk display and sale of original
fine art by local and regional artists. Sponsored båy the
Arts Council of Rock Hill and York County. Vendors from area restaurants
will sell samples from their menus, while musicians and others
will entertain the crowds. Other festival features include a juried
art exhibition and a poetry and short story competition.
The annual Jubilee Juried Competition Exhibition will take place at the Dalton Gallery at the Center for the Arts in downtown Rock Hill will take place Oct. 2 through Nov. 21, 2004. This annual juried exhibition features local and regional artists selected by juror Doug Raybold of Aiken, SC. The Elementary Art Exhibition will take place in the Edmund Lewandowski Classroom at the Center for the Arts and will be on view through Nov., 2004. The exhibition of local elementary school art is being sponsored by The Lake Club.
