Wilkes County Quilters, in North Wilkesboro, NC, Offers Wilkes Quilts! 2004
The Wilkes County Quilters Guild in North Wilksboro, NC, will hold it's fourth annual quilt show, Wilkes Quilts! 2004, on Sept. 10&11, 2004, in Wilkesboro, NC. You're invited to come see "Where Quilts Bloom".
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. All proceeds go toward workshops and community service project supplies. Since last October, we've made and donated 112 crib quilts/baby quilts and 10 youth size quilts to local non-profit groups.
There will be hourly flower demos, quilts, wallhangings, wearables and fabric bowls on display. Opportunity quilt and sewing machine giveaway tickets will be available from guild members and at the show.
Special exhibits include Mountain Splendor guild challenge and Miniatures From The Heart contest traveling exhibit. A boutique of hand made items and vendors mall will round out the show.
A hand quilting demonstration will be ongoing while quilters work on a blooming 9-patch quilt to be donated to Hospice of Wilkes County once completed.
