Porto in Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Clark Hipolito

Porto in Raleigh, NC, will present works by Clark Hipolito beginning on Sept. 9, 2005, for its Second Friday Art Walk, which takes place 5-9pm. His paintings will remain on display (and available for sale) through Oct. 13, 2005.

Italian wines how to drink them, how to pair them with food, how to cook with them, and other aspects of enjoying them will be celebrated during Porto's Second Friday Art Walk, along with a special showing of large, mixed-media paintings by artist and Porto
co-owner, Clark Hipolito.

Located within Raleigh's revamped North Hills Shopping Center, Porto is one of the city's newest upscale home furnishings, accessories and fine art stores. On the second Friday of each month, owners Michael Perry,
Emily Barrett and Clark Hipolito host an in-store "art walk," open to the public, to draw attention to the work of new and/or unknown artists in the area and beyond. Co-sponsored by Total Wine, the event always includes wine, hors d'oeuvres, and the chance to see original works of art in the context of Porto's distinctive collection of fine furnishings and accessories gleaned from around the world.

The emphasis on wine makes this particular Art Walk different from the others. Experts will be on hand to conduct a tasting and to discuss and answer questions about nine different selections of Italian wines available in Total Wine's North Hills location.
