Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, Features Works by Ann Stoddard

Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, will present the exhibition, Ann Stoddard: conduit, featuring new works by artist Ann Stoddard, including paintings and sculptures which are based on the ideas of love and peace. The works are self-reflecting in both spirit and in past works brought forward to new works. The exhibit will be on view at the Elizabeth Stone Harper Gallery from Sept. 8 through Oct. 23, 2005.

Stoddard, a South Carolina native, has exhibited her works in galleries and museums both nationally and internationally. To mention, Art Centre, Muymbai, India; Majlis Cultural Center, Bombay,India; Macy Gallery at Columbia University; SoHo Artist Space, NYC; Haustudio, Atlanta; Columbus Museum, Columbus,GA; Medical Center, Washington University; Herman Miller Design Yard, Holland, MI; Craft Museum, San Francisco; Arts Festival Centre, Domzale, Slovenia; Las Vegas Art Museum; Artists Space, NYC; List Visual Arts Center, MIT, Cambridge, MA.

Stoddard received her Master of Fine Arts at Cranbrook Academy of Art and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of South Carolina. She also attended Converse College and Penland School of Crafts.

Stoddard is an Adjunct Professor and part-time Gallery Director at the Elizabeth Stone Harper Gallery at Presbyterian College
