Cameo Art Gallery in Columbia, SC, Moves Across the River
The Cameo Art Gallery in Columbia, SC, will be moving to West Columbia, having been a notable presence in the Vista for over 15 years. Cameo's doors will open at the new location on Sept. 5, 2006, at 10am.
Cameo Art Gallery was one of the first businesses to open in the Vista, and was one of the founding members of the Vista Guild when it was established. Cameo has seen all the changes the City has made and continues to make to the Vista, and is excited about the new endeavor. West Columbia has begun a new venture encouraging businesses across the river to move to help create a business atmosphere similar to what the Vista was able to create. West Columbia is shaping the district's appearance and supporting the importance of historic areas which is paramount to improving a working business environment.
Cameo Art Gallery first
opened their doors over 25 years ago in the northeast section
of Columbia. It began with the private collections of the
owner, and soon grew into a gallery which provided a diverse range
of artwork, as well as custom framing. Since then, Cameo
has witnessed and participated in the ever changing scenes around
town.
Cameo took an old warehouse in the Vista and turned it
into a beautiful space for art lovers to come and enjoy the wonderful
works of South Carolina's artists. The gallery also began
working with artists outside of the United States to bring more
to the art scene in the state. Cameo has enjoyed a long reputation
for quality workmanship and beautiful art.
Please join us in our new location on the corner of Meeting Street and Marble Street: 805 and 807 Meeting Street, West Columbia, as we begin a new era of Cameo Art Gallery. Free Parking is available for all customers.
