Dog Art Dealer in Charleston, SC, Offers Exhibition on the "Pug"

There will be a selection of Pug art on display at Dog Art Dealers in Charleston, SC, by nine of the gallery's foremost canine portraitists through Sept. 16, 2006. The Pug-Nificent Exhibit will showcase the work of internationally and nationally known artists: Monica Acee, Barrie Barnett, Constance Coleman, Lese Corrigan, Trophy Frederick, Roger Henry, Joyce Hall, Rachelle Oatman, Nancy Pellatt, Faith Cameron Semmes and the gallery's newest addition, Ron Burns.

Why the pug you might ask? There are so many amazing things a dog can provide in the lives of their master, and a pug not only gives 110% each day, but they do it with their whole heart and their endearing bug-eyes. A pug will greet you after a long day of work with a wagging tail, a few licks hello, and a genuine happiness to see you every time you walk through the door. Their unconventional appearance and varied colors add a little extra "oomph" to their personality and you will never meet two pugs that are exactly alike. But in every pug you will find overwhelming amounts adoration, devotion, laughter, and fulfillment.

A percentage of proceeds from sales will be donated to the John Ancrum SPCA.
