Patti Rishforth

The SC Portrait Support Group was created in 2005 by PSA State Ambassador, Patti Rishforth as an on-line forum (www.SCportraitsupport@yahoogroups.com) to provide active support for the creative efforts of portrait artists in South Carolina and to increase public awareness of their work. The Artist's Eye shows at MUSC are a continuation of the South Carolina Portrait Support Group's growth as an organization.

Many of the exhibiting artists are members of the Portrait Society of America, an international, public, non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the traditions of fine art portraiture and figurative works. Also showing in the exhibitions are members of the ArtsAlliance, a group of artists and printmakers organized in 2000 to promote and exhibit contemporary fine art.
