Silver Fox Gallery in Hendersonville, NC, Features Works by Werner Bonitz
The Silver Fox Gallery in Hendersonville, NC, will present the exhibit, Images from Nature, featuring photography by Werner Bonitz, from Sept. 1 - 30, 2006.
Bonitz' celebration of color is evident in the dramatic, graphic works that hang at the Silver Fox Gallery. The photographer strives for simplicity of subject and setting to offset what he refers to as the 'complexity of color.'
To achieve the superior detail and color depth that his work displays, Bonitz uses a Mamiya 645 camera that produces a negative nearly three times larger than a 35mm digital or film negative. By processing and printing his own images, Bonitz has complete control over the final picture.
A retired textile engineer, Bonitz believes his profession is complementary with his photography, in that both deal with color, shapes and patterns and both require creativity and technical perfection.
