5th Annual Quilt Sale Takes Place Oct. 13, 2007, at Fox Farms in Waxhaw, NC
Regional artists will be exhibiting contemporary, antique, and historical quilts for a one-day fund-raiser, the 5th annual A Barnful of Quilts, for the Waxhaw Presbyterian Women's Group, as well as other types of fiber arts, yarn, and pottery on Oct. 13, 2007, from 10am to 5pm, at Fox Farms, 7505 Sims Road, Waxhaw, NC.
Our featured artist is Fulvia Luciano; other
participating artists include Karen McWhorter, Joyce Walker, Jan
Smiley, Janet Lasher, Nan Chandler, the fiber Artoptions group,
Susan Welch and many others. Quilt historian, Sarah Woodring,
will be on hand to answer questions. Live music will be provided
by Shawn Odend'hal and refreshments and baked goods will be available. A
raffle quilt and a Silent Auction completes the day.
The Fox Farms barn is located on a spectacular 155 acre Paso Fino
horse farm just three miles from Waxhaw.
The public is invited to attend. Admission is $5 for adults,
free for those over 80 and under 18.
