CoCo Vivo in Charleston, SC, Offers Works by Roger Milinowski
CoCo Vivo Interiors and Fine Art for Relaxed Living in Charleston, SC will feature Moody Blues, a collection of oil paintings of the beautiful skies and waterways of the eastern seaboard by "plein air" artist Roger Milinowski. The exhibit will be on view from Sept. 1 - 30, 2007.
Milinowski was raised in Peekskill, NY, and developed and early appreciation for the unique beauty and artistic potential of the natural landscape. Although degreed in Industrial Design, and having spent a career in the corporate world of New York City, his sensitive observations of the natural world produce paintings that calm the mind and soothe the soul.
Milinowski states his method in this manner,
"Although I paint in many different environments, I am most
excited about painting 'en plein air'. There is an immediacy about
capturing that moment in time, that I find very stimulating".
When viewing Milinowski's works, whether landscape or still life,
the viewer returns to a quieter and less stressful place in time.
During his frequent trips to the Lowcountry, he searches the creeks,
docks, marshes and less frequented streets of Charleston to capture
the character, style and natural beauty that is Charleston.
Milinowski presently lives with his wife Judy in Boothbay Harbor, ME, and operates Head of the Harbor Gallery. His works hang in private and corporate collections in the US, Canada, Israel, England and Australia, as well as galleries in Connecticut, Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod and Charleston, SC.
