Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville in Greenville,
SC, Features Works by Pam DeWitt
The Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville in Greenville, SC, will present an exhibit of works by Pam DeWitt, on view from Sept. 1 - 30, 2008.
DeWitt's portfolio ranges from soft subdued watercolor landscapes to pieces of painted broken glass that gives the viewer a whole new perspective of a medium. Both works have been juried into many shows and won several prizes. The broken glass work is flying off the walls of our gallery, which only gives DeWitt incentive to produce this work. Each piece is unique and more on a contemporize abstract bent.
Although DeWitt stays with the soft pallets, the glass brings on a stronger prism of color. Some of the glass pieces have images to see such as a dogwood tree or fish swimming in a pond. This new work is something to see and a game to try to figure out the process of this new medium. This is a secret of DeWitt's and as it should be, that is her scientific equation. So before the secret is found out, come see works by this original artist that experimented, failed, tried again and succeeded in her venture. This volume of work is totally hers and could be hanging on your walls at home.
DeWitt's watercolors are not to be ignored or take a back seat to her new process. They also are beautiful and sell very well all over the United States and abroad. So please make a point to stop by and see her new series. Artists Guild Gallery is proud to have DeWitt as a member and we are very excited to present these new original works.
