Features Works by Jason Basden
Green Rice Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present the exhibit, Story, featuring works by local sculptor Jason Basden, on view from Sept. 5 - 27, 2008. This exhibit will feature imagery inspired by stories, myths and the artists own imagination.
Basden's work attempts to capture the essence of storytelling through the narrative quality of his subjects. Since childhood, Basden has enjoyed the process of fabrication and manipulation of various materials to explore their potential and create something new. Constructed of carved and modeled armatures, Basden's art also incorporates texture, color and richness in each of his forms.
Green Rice Gallery, a fine arts gallery, showcases the works of over 100 talented local and national artists.
