August Issue 1999
Asheville's Arts Alliance Gallery Exhibits Work of Eli Jennings
The Arts Alliance Front Gallery in downtown Asheville, NC, will feature the works of local artist, Eli Jennings, in a show entitled Past, Present, and Future from Aug. 2 through 31.
There will be a heavy emphasis on pattern and color as Jennings explores themes from her rural childhood upbringing. Mosaics, churches, and other themes will be represented through the use of mixed media or acrylic. Jennings offers a variety of styles in her paintings. Representative of her moods and versatility, her artwork shows a love of color, flow of line, and unique vision. Her favorite paintings are those that begin with a line, shape or simply swish of color and then take on a life of their own.
