Asheville Gallery of Art Features Work by Pauline Tennant
Asheville Gallery of Art, located in downtown Asheville, NC, will feature work by Asheville artist, Pauline Tennant, during the month of Dec. as the gallery's Artist-of-the-Month.
Tennant has worked in advertising art in New York City, Athens, GA, and in Asheville, where she has also taught art in private and public schools.
In juried exhibitions Tennant has won awards on the local, regional, national, and international levels. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections. She was a recipient of the 1995-96 Emerging Artist Grant from the NC Art Council and the Art Alliance. Under this grant she concentrated on linocut prints. Best known locally for her large-scale black and white linocut prints, for this exhibit she is featuring pastel drawings, acrylic sketches, and linocut prints with color.
