The 521 All Stars Exhibit at the Fine Arts Center in Camden, SC

The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County in Camden, SC, will host an exhibit The 521 All Stars; A Championship Story of Baseball and Community in the Bassett Gallery October 4-29. This exhibit documents the semi-professional baseball league the 521-All Stars from Rembert, SC.

The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County was awarded a grant from the South Carolina Humanities Council which enabled photographer Byron Baldwin and writer Frye Gaillard to document the story of the 521 All Stars, through publication of a book and the development of an exhibition of images and text. The Fine Arts Center received special sponsorship from E. I. duPont where several of the team members are employed.

The book, The 521 All Stars; A Championship Story of Baseball and Community, 128 pages with 75 duotone illustrations is available for $32.00 (including tax) at the Fine Arts Center.
