Works by Peggy Rivers & Dale Duncan on View at Lawson Gallery in York, SC
Lawson Jewelers & Gallery in York, SC, will present a new exhibit of paintings by Peggy Rivers and clay art by Dale Duncan through Nov. 30.
Peggy Rivers, a native of Iceland, moved to York County 2 1/2 years ago with her husband Van Shields, the Director of the Cultural & Heritage Commission of York County, and her son, a sophomore at Northwestern High School. Her oil paintings reflect her fascination with the mysteries of the universe, and are bold, colorful, and often whimsical in nature.
Dale Duncan has been in the York area 15 years. He blends traditional pottery forms with extreme surface textures, creating a uniqueness that is visually and aesthetically intriguing. A graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, Dale is currently exhibiting work at WDO Gallery in Charlotte, NC.
