Tri-State Sculptors Revolving Exhibition in North Charleston
Works by members of the Tri-State Sculptors Association is on exhibit at the North Charleston City Gallery at the Rhodes Center, North Charleston, SC, through Sept. 30.
This "revolving" exhibition gives a more in depth look at the work of six sculptors than the typical Tri-State show which has one or two pieces by a larger number of artists. The exhibit has no particular theme, but rather should be viewed as a cross section of works by the group's members. It is hoped that future exhibits will allow other Tri-State artists to revolve into the collection.
Tri-State Sculptors Educational Association is an organization founded 20 years ago with the mission of promoting the development and understanding of sculpture and sculptors. Membership, currently about 250, is open to all. The non-profit organization is run by a volunteer board.
The six artists included in the exhibition are Mickey Gault, Gretchen Lothrop, Linda Williams McCune, Rudi Rudisill, Ken Smith, and Susan Was-Hise
