Works by Tom Flowers at Tryon Fine Arts Center
The Tryon Painters and Sculptors group will host an exhibit by Tom Flowers, Professor Emeritus of art at Furman University in Greenville, SC, from Nov.13 - 30 at the Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC.
Flowers has won numerous awards for his creative work, including the purchase award in the Painters Choice Exhibition at Georgia College, the second place award at the Franklin Mint Bicentennial Competition, and the Art and Architecture Award from the SC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He has held many one-man exhibits in the Mid-west and throughout the South. His work is included in many corporate and private collections.
A Furman University graduate, Flowers received a MFA degree from the University of Iowa. He has studied and traveled extensively in Europe and received a Fulbright grant to travel and study in India. He is listed in Who's Who in American Art.
