The Handlebar in Greenville, SC, Offers 2013 Holiday Market, Fundraiser and Chili Cook-Off - Nov. 23, 2013

Outsider Arts sc and The Handlebar in Greenville, SC, are pleased to announce the 2013 Holiday Market, Fundraiser and Chili Cook-Off. Please join us on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, from 10am-6pm at The Handlebar located at 304 E. Stone Avenue n Greenville.

The Holiday Market features established and up-and-coming local artists in an intimate setting. You’ll find special one of a kind gifts for everyone on your list, from jewelry and clothing to pottery, woodworking, diverse wall art and more. Admission to the Market is free.

Get your holiday shopping done early then round out your day by checking out The Handlebar’s (sometimes annual) Chili Cook-Off. Tasting starts at 5pm; for just $12 you’ll be able to sample an assortment of offerings, have a brew and vote for your favorite.

Local musicians will play throughout the day, followed by Tonight’s Noise in the bar at 6pm.

Our fundraiser this year supports Animal Care of Greenville, SC. Commemorative t-shirts are available for $20. The t-shirts feature the artwork of local artist Creston Hannaford. Creston’s original artwork (used for our poster and t-shirts) is being auctioned in a Silent Auction. Net proceeds of t-shirt sales and silent auction are being donated to Animal Care. Donations of canned pet food and new/used towels and baby blankets are also being accepted on behalf of Animal Care.

Animal Care of Greenville is a full service, open admission animal shelter in Greenville that handles lost/found and adoptions, low cost spay-neuter and animal wellness. More than 20,000 animals pass through their doors yearly.

Since opening in Sept. 1994, The Handlebar, a listening room, has become the premier concert venue in The Upstate for entertainers and music lovers alike. A fun menu, full bar and friendly staff round out memorable entertainment events.

Outsider Arts sc is a grassroots organization whose mission is to champion diverse art forms and foster community spirit. Outsider Arts hopes to establish a greater presence for the many facets of art and to continue in charitable fundraising ventures in order to grow the impact that art can have in our community.

We’d like to thank The Handlebar, Palmetto Drum Co., Community Tap and Thomas Creek Brewery for their continued support of the Holiday Market & Chili Cook-Off.
