UNC Asheville
in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Peggy Rivers
UNC Asheville in Asheville, NC, is hosting a solo exhibition of recent works by Charlotte, NC, painter Peggy Rivers. The exhibition, Peggy Rivers: Perpetua Perplexita, will be on view through Oct. 20, 2009, at UNC Asheville's S. Tucker Cooke Gallery, located on the main floor of Owen Hall.
A native of Iceland, Rivers holds a master's degree in studio art from Humboldt State University and a master of fine arts degree in painting from Columbia University. While being a prolific artist, Rivers has also taught art at a number of universities, including SUNY Stony Brook and Winthrop University. Rivers currently teaches at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte and is represented by Joie Lassiter Gallery in Charlotte and City Art in Columbia, SC.
