Artstock will celebrate its 13th Annual Artist Studio Tour throughout the greater Greensboro, NC, area the weekend of Oct. 9 and 10, 2010. Studios will be open on Saturday from 10am-5pm and Sunday from 1-5pm. The tour is free and open to the public look for the red balloons at each location!
With over 80 individual artists participating, come and be inspired by their diverse talents in all media. The participating artists will be displaying their products in their own studios as well as at group and gallery locations.
This year's motto is "Essential, Enriching Experiences."
Artstock artists will host a special Artstock Preview Exhibit on view through Oct. 7, 2010, at the Sanctuary of Greensboro, Revolution Mill Studios, 1150 Revolution Mill Drive, Studio 7, in Greensboro. Over 40 artists will be represented in the Preview Exhibit.
Media represented in this year's tour include: watercolor, oil, acrylic, metal, photography, pen and ink, handmade paper, collage, mixed media, clay, wood, graphite, found object, oil pastel and charcoal.
Artstock site list with artists' names and locations will be available at The Marshall Art Gallery (301-H Pisgah Church Road, 336/545-8268), Rains Frame and Gallery (4555 Hwy 220 North, Summerfield, 336/644-9133) and Winter Light Gallery (410 Blandwood Avenue, 336/274-7372) after the first of September. Artist Site Lists will also be available at all participating artists' locations and on our website at (www.artstocktour.com).
Artstock developed from the Artist's Support System Established Synergy, started by a small group of local artists in 1996 to provide support, share ideas and concerns. Artstock collectively represents individual visual artists in the greater Greensboro area by presenting a studio tour the second weekend of October. By promoting the distinctive talent of each artist, we in turn underline the creativity within our broader community.
