3rd Charlotte Fine
Art & Craft Show
Takes Place in Charlotte, NC - Oct. 9 & 10, 2010
Produced by Hot Works, LLC, of Milford, MI, 3rd Annual Charlotte Fine Art & Craft Show will take place on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10, 2010, at The Park Expo & Conference Center (formerly known as Merchandise Mart), Freedom Hall, Charlotte, NC.
Approximately 150 of
the highest quality juried artists from around the world will
sell their art work in all forms of media including paintings,
clay, glass, sculpture, wood, fiber, photography, and more. This
show is different than other art shows in the area in a number
of ways. Many of the world's preeminent artists exhibit. For some,
this will be their only event in North Carolina. This includes
artists Woodrow Nash, sculpture; Buchi Upjohn Aghaji, painting;
Antoni Kozlowski, jewelry; and Michael Kane & Steve Sells,
fiber. In order to attract the finest artists, Artist Awards are
given.
For those who would like a preview, you can visit uptown Charlotte
on Friday, Oct. 8, from 11:30am-2pm. Ten artists will be displaying
their art work, which will be available for purchase on the corner
of Tryon and Trade. The event is open on Saturday, Oct. 9 and
Sunday, Oct. 10 from 10am-5pm.
In addition to the great
art, the Institute for the Arts & Education is a non profit
501c3 organization that is part of this event and its focus is
on artistry and community enrichment. The Charlotte Symphony will
offer season tickets as a door prize. Join the national celebration
of American Craft Week by improving craft's recognition and gaining
an understanding of the American Craft artists in the show. There
is also live entertainment, which does not interfere with patrons
and artists. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that enhances
the artwork and creates a relaxing environment for art lovers.
Hot Works flagship show, the Orchard Lake Fine Art Show has been
voted in the top 100 art shows in the country the last four years
in a row! That is the same quality of art we bring to Charlotte.
This event is different - all work is original and personally
hand made by the artist.
The $5 admission helps support the Institute for Arts & Education, a 501c3 non-profit organization that focuses on artistry and community enrichment; children 12 and under get in free.
