Carolina Gallery
in Spartanburg, SC, Offers Works by Isabel Forbes
Carolina Gallery on Morgan Square in downtown Spartanburg, SC, will open a new exhibit of work by Isabel Forbes on Jan. 15, which continues through Mar. 2, 2009.
An award winning artist, Forbes was trained at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. She worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for over 25 years before making the transition into fine art full time. Inspired by her surroundings, she paints the everyday scenes of her life. Her goal is to connect emotionally with her viewers through strong design and choice of subject matter. Forbes' work gives us a new look at our own daily life.
Forbes has been included in juried competitions for twenty years, including the South Carolina Watermedia Society and Piccolo Spoleto, and has won "Best of Show" in numerous exhibits throughout the Southeast.
