Elder Gallery
in Charlotte, NC, Offers the Young & Experienced
Elder Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present The Young and The Experienced, on view from Jan. 2 - 31, 2009. The exhibition will introduce five, young, emerging artists and will display their work along with five well-established and nationally recognized painters.
"We have discovered what we consider to be five exceptional young painters who are in their twenties," says gallery owner Larry Elder. "We thought it would be interesting to exhibit their work with five artists who have been painting for as long as the young artists have been alive." A wide variety of styles and subject matter will be evident to visitors of the exhibit.
Young artists featured in the exhibition are Steve Javiel, Jung Han Kim, Marcos Shih, Gopika Sitwala and Sai Thongvahn. The experienced artists include South Carolina artists Carl Blair, Claire Miller Hopkins and Philip Mullen plus Tom Perkinson of Santa Fe and Carl Plansky of New York.
Elder Gallery is committed to offering representation to young artists with exceptional abilities as well as established artists who have already achieved acclaim on the national scene.
