Women's Council at Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, SC, Offers Holiday Tour
Some of downtown historic Charleston, SC's most elegant private residences and gardens will be featured on the 12th Annual Gibbes Museum of Art Women's Council Holiday Tour of Houses and Gardens on Dec. 6, 2003, from 1-4pm. Tickets for the event are $35 per person.
The self-guided tour features select homes and gardens decorated for the holiday season. Docents from the Gibbes Women's Council will greet visitors at each house and offer glimpses into some of Charleston's finest historical houses and private, secluded gardens. Russian tea and cookies will be served at the Gibbes Museum of Art following the tour.
Working under the auspices of the Carolina Art Association, the Women's Council is the primary support organization for the Gibbes Museum of Art. The Women's Council Annual Holiday Tour of Houses and Gardens provides funding for educational programs offered in the museum's art studio, special exhibitions, public services and general operating expenses.
