Touchstone Gallery in Hendersonville, NC, Features Works by Nels Arnold
Nels Arnold of Fairview, NC, is the featured artist in the Main Street windows of Touchstone Gallery in Hendersonville, NC.
Eleven ceramic sculptures exploring various aspects of the feminine spirit created by this highly regarded regional artist will be on display through Dec. 31, 2003.
Aspects of Womyn reflects a recently started series of coiled and hand-built works that feature subtle stain and glaze enhancement of the basic highly textured work.
When not creating in her studio, Arnold has delighted regional audiences with her acting talents in numerous community theater performances. Some of her role playing spills over to her ceramic works in the carefully crafted costuming of each Womyn piece.
