Columbia, SC, Offers Annual Vista Lights on Nov. 20, 2003
Each fall for seventeen years Columbia, SC's
Vista area has opened its doors and welcomed the surrounding communities
to stroll its sidewalks and experience the magic of Vista Lights.
Most merchants in the Vista, lit by over 1500 luminaries, will
be opened late for this annual event.
Vista Lights offers a glowing opportunity for people to
stroll through art galleries, bars and restaurants, shops and
showrooms. Strolling musicians herald the fast approaching winter
holidays and dancing bonbons gather to light the festive tree.
Many galleries will be having special visual and performance artists
on hand to add to the occasion. This is a free event and is fun
for everyone. The Vista Guild will be selling collectable buttons
for a one dollar donation.
Gervais Street in the Vista will close for Vista Lights from 6 to 9:30pm on Thur., Nov. 20, 2003. Parking is available at the SC State Museum and designated lots at the Colonial Center with free shuttles available for the event. Official media sponsors are Free Times, ClearChannel Communications, and WIS TV and the Congaree Vista Guild.
For further information call the Guild at 803/318-1150.
