Hosted by Greg Pappanastos, the group will exhibit new works in the large circa 1930s warehouse space against exposed brick walls and rough concrete floors the exhibition will be open from 6-9pm both Friday nights and by appointment.
This second Art Attack exhibition will include art by all the founding members of the Charlotte Artery including: Dan Allegrucci, printmaker, Julie Benda, printmaker and mixed media artist, Ashley Lathe, painter, Janet Lasher and Bev Nagy, fiber and mixed media artists.
Charlotte Artery has a unique take on the current state of the economy: With the help of grants from the North Carolina Arts Council and the Arts & Science Council, the artists are mounting a series of exhibits in "non-art" spaces including those underused by the collapse of the real estate market. The artists plan "to transform alternative spaces into temporary art galleries for shows that highlight some of the talent that resides here in the Queen City."
